The European Atari Jaguar Festival “ejagfest” took place on 4th of November in Kaarst near Düsseldorf. We celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Atari 7800, which was released worldwide in 1986 after it was released in small amounts in a test market in the year 1984.

Here you find an overview of the highlights of this year.

Highlights:

• Lars Hannig: Sold his CD “The Lost Treasures” which contains about 30 alpha and beta versions of Jaguar projects in which he was involved in during the last 7 years. It contains better known projects such as “Star Alliance”, but also lesser-known games like “JagWorm”and others in playable versions.
• Matthias Domin: Sold the finished game “Double Feature Vol.1” for the Jaguar CD. Which in addition to the two beautiful classic games “Reversi and Connect Them” contains a third hidden game, a version of Sokoban.
• Simon Querenhorst: Showed his two new Atari VCS games Rasterfahndung and Encaved.
• Atari Store NL: Sold retro games and goodies for various systems.
• Thorsten Butschke: Presented us his Tron like game “Grenzüberschritung” for the Atari Falcon, which is playbale with up to 8 players.

Other highlights were in addition to numerous playbale retro systems from various manufacturers are a multiplayer network of Doom for the Jaguar, a Battlesphere network, an Atari 800 with a CF-Card extension which shoed us a sequence of Sponge Bob in Atari resolution, an Atari Portfoilio, a C64 game system and a visit of the ZockHard podcasts guys at the ejagfest.

This year was the event‘s 6th anniversary and took place for the 3rd time in Kaarst near Düsseldorf. The ejagfest took place at: Bischofshof, Königsstraße 18-24, 41564 Kaarst – Germany.
